Georges JEANCLOS (1933-1997) - Lot 78
Georges JEANCLOS (1933-1997) "Untitled" 1993 Low-relief sculpture. Bronze proof with brown-green patina. Lost-wax casting. Signed and dated JEANCLOS (19)93 lower left. left, bears the founder's stamp CLEMENTI Cire perdue in the lower left border. Height: 49 cm Length: 91 cm Depth: 15 cm This work is contemporary with the bronze decoration created by the sculptor/depthist for the entrance portico of the Hôtel départemental de police on boulevard de l'Embouchure in Toulouse. Its composition shows similarities with certain panels of this monumental work. This work was given to me by my father, the architect of this building, who had become friends with the artist.
